Family Gifts ViewScan to Brighton Library to Aid in Historical Research

BRIGHTON — Delving into the past is now a whole lot easier at the Brighton Public Library thanks to an $8,000 digital microfilm reader donated by the Colby family — in memory of Margaret Colby, who passed away last year. Her father, Don Colby, taught geography at East Northumberland Secondary School for 26 years and served on the library board for nine years, six years as its chair.

Notre Dame hosts second research sprint

Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries, in conjunction with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s “History Unfolded” project, hosted ”The Holocaust in American Catholic Newspapers and Beyond,” a research sprint and panel discussion in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday. During the research sprint, volunteers scoured through newspaper clips preserved on microfilm to unearth how the early stages of the Holocaust were covered by local reporters across the country. City Library and Historical Society partner to provide greater access to historical material

PASO ROBLES —  The Paso Robles City Library through a partnership with the Paso Robles Area Historical Society is able to provide researchers access to a greater amount of local history material.
